I just picked up my new ZT25SB Zinger today. As soon as I turn on the LP Gas tanks, either one or both, I get the smell of LP gas anywhere near the camper. All fittings are tight. I have a portable, battery operated, LP Gas detector and when I put it next to the plastic knob type handle that screws the fitting onto the tank, it goes off. I have double checked all tightning and it could not be any tighter. Am I paranoid and is this something normal? I would think not. This just doesn't seem normal to me.

I sometimes get a slight propane smell when I open the tank compartment but certainly not "anywhere near the camper". You may have a defective hose, fitting or ???? I would have your dealer check it out.

Fixed my leak. Got out there this morning, in the pouring rain, with my glass full of soapy water and paint brush. Found BOTH connections from the directional valve to the tanks, at the tanks, were not tight. No more smell; well, from the propane anyway <grin>
