Fist time out for the season. 3rd time with the new 30RK. Weather wasn't the best and it hailed on the way home.Still a great time at Willow Bay Camp Ground in PA.

The only issue I'm having is with the water heater. It would not light at first, I think do to driving through heavy rain. The next morning it did light but i'm getting some soot on the camper siding.

Will, Nice. I noticed that you had an awning over your slide. Was that standard? I have not seen this before. Is that an option? Seems like a good idea to me.

They are called slide toppers and are an aftermarket option. You can check with dealership to get them installed.

Will, that's a nice looking camper. We have reservations for the next two weekends at two different state parks nearby. We've only got to camp twice so far this year, so I'm looking forward to it.

As for the water heater, if this is the first time you've used it this year, it isn't unusual for it to take two or three tries to get it to light due to having to purge the air out of the propane lines. If the burner is not burning clean once it does light, the air shutter is easily adjustable. Procedures are readily available on the internet.

Is it worth it? Have not had an issue with any leaks and we have had some rain. Does seems like a good idea.

Tim D. the slide topper is more fordebris than water. It keeps leaves and such from entering the camper when you retract the slide. I think it's a must for the wooded camp sites.

Mike. I had the water heater working well before the trip.

Will, there is an adjustment by your hot water heaterso it won't soot. Just open up you outside panel and you will see a pipe with a slide adjustment on it. Just adjust that until you don't get any soot.

Longhauler, I have done this already.
I can get it so it works fine but when I close the door to the heater it will run great for about a minute them start to spit and sputter.

I have the 25RB and I had the slide topper installed just last week and it is great. My question is, Has anyone had any problems with the kitchen sink leaking? Looks like its leaking from around the faucet area, appears the faucet is not sealed very well to the countertop and then another small leak from around the sink to countertop meet up. Other than that just minor flaws and small adjustments. This is our first brand new camper and we have had it about a month now and camped twice in it.
