2014 30RE frame size

Anybody know the frame size on a 2014 Sunset Trail Reserve 30RE?
I only have the one slide out.

I need to pick up an Andersen hitch for this and the trailer is an hour away

Thanks
Richard

Frame: The Sunset Trail uses an aluminum frame because it is strong and lite weight. The frame uses 6" - 8" aluminum I-beams that on top of a 3,500 lb axles. It uses a hung wall construction with 16" OC aluminum studs, as opposed to the laminate construction found in other lite weights. In short, you have a solid frame to work on without a lot of weight.

Does this sound right?

Must be an error, Lippert doesn't make aluminum frames for these trailers as far as I know. I would guess the 30RE has a steel 8 inch I-beam, but still a guess.

What I see is a 3" aluminum frame 11" on center layered across a steel frame.

I got this info from the brochure.

OP mentioned he needed to pick up a hitch so, I would guess he is talking the size of the A frame. Mine is 45 minutes away or I would measure. I just watched a video on the Anderson hitch...different!

According to the diagram picture there is a aluminum floor frame on top of a steel Rv frame. So it's like a house with a second set of smaller floor joists running perpendicular to each other.

The diagram I got was from the Crossroads website. The main frame is steel like all Rv's but another frame made of aluminum lays on top of this main frame. The brochure lists all the construction of the Rv including R values of the insulation of wall, roof, and floor.

Yes sorry size of "A" frame. Andersen comes with a 4,6,8 inch brackets but the Crossroads website does not really say to much except for there frame under the trailer. Since I just purchased the 30RE but have not taken delivery yet and it's over an hour away at the dealers lot I am unable to measure so I can order the hitch on line.
I will have to call the dealer and see if he will measure for me.
Thanks for all the replies

Got my answer from Crossroads today. They are very good about getting back to emails.

Quote:

The A-Frame hitch is 6" The main frame I-Beam is 8". Please see attached.

The height could vary, but appx 18".

Thanks

Mark Quinn.

I did the walk through yesterday and my dealer has a few things to fix before I pick it up but was so busy with the fix it list that I forgot to measure the height to the top of the coupler when level. I see else were on the the net that other ST trailers are about 22" to top of coupler but models may very I assume and I was told 18 but seems really low. Can anyone confirm ball height so I can set up hitch?

Thanks for any help you can give. Going to pull home on Wednesday and will be dark by the time I get home so wanna be pretty close on hitch for the hour drive home as winds gust to 50-60 km here this this week.
