2016 Sunset Trail Roof like putty!

We have had our Sunset Trail 4 years and have had the same dulling of the endcap. We had our trailer detailed this weekend and the guy noticed our roof top was sticky and he could rub it off like it was the texture of caulk or puddy, we did notice our roof had turned black and just thought it needed washed...has anyone else had this issue? The whole top of the trailer is this way.

The roof should be made of rubber with no filler required. The putty feeling may be a build up of alga or dirt. Clean off a patch and see if you get a rubber roof under the gunk.

Hi there, just curious what ever came of this for you?

My trailer is a 2014, and the RV repair shop just told me my roof has a similar problem - the whole thing has just become gummy to the point he doesn't think he can walk on it to perform maintenance.

Unfortunately many join to ask a question than disappear. This is a old thread maybe start a new one with your problem. You may get a better response.

hello i had the same problem with my 2015 sunset trail. contact Dan at dmetzger@dicor.com. He took care of my camper, shipped the materials to the place that was replacing my roof and paid the company to replace it. POC is don metzger 800-837-2059. I hope this helps.
