We just recently bought a 2016 250RB and plan to tow it with our Cadillac Escalade ESV that has the 6.2L V8 in it. When I brought the RV home from the Caddy towed it good but I keep seeing people getting diesel's to tow the 250RB. I looked at the towing capacity of the Caddy and the weight of the RV and see it will be fine. Also, the service guy at the RV place said I would not have any issues.
My question is will I need to get a better towing vehicle for the 250RB or will I be fine?
You have plenty of vehicle for that trailer. A diesel is a waste of $$ for that weight. A proper weight distributing hitch with sway control is all you need to make your camping experience completely enjoyable. Save the money you would spend on a diesel and use it to take your family camping and enjoy it. I have no idea why somebody with a travel trailer of that size would go to a diesel unless they plan on upgrading to a much larger unit in the future - it's overkill.

Suggestion, since the 250 rb has a spread axle take a few trips to see if you really need the sway control. Our dealer suggested that & we found that very seldom did we ever feel a semi blow by. The wider stance takes the sway out. You can always add it later if you feel it's needed. Good luck.

Sway bar is only like $40. I prefer to have the added feel good of it being there.

×2 on the weight distributing hitch with sway control & be sure it's all set up correctly, if the hitch bars aren't parallel to the frame it's NOT set up correctly.
When I bought the 250RB it came with the tow package which included the sway bars and stabilizer bar. So, I should be good on that. When I drove the 250RB home on the interstate it drove good and was very much under control. My only concern was the towing capacity and getting to the limit of the capacity of the Escalade.
