291 RK Question

Just purchased a 2018 Sunset Trail 291RK. Would love to ad an electric fireplace. Anyone done this?

I would love to take mine out , never use it . The extra storage would be nicer . Little electric heater would be just as good .

Check out recent thread here and threads elsewhere about potential fire danger .
I personally wouldn't recommend it.

I (and several others on the forum) have installed one. I had a great space for it under the Ent Center. Wasn't hard but they do require a 120v circuit. Mine has been working for 9 years without fail and we use it all the time. Love it.

In my opinion, the way to have a safer electrical heat source, is to make sure the wire is adequate that is feeding the receptacle the heater is drawing from. Way to many receptacles in these RV's are being wired with to small a gauge wire.
