Just picked ours up and going ouy tonight. I have a question on the valves in water heater compartment. I have 4. 1 is for the EZ winterizing hose. the other 3 are water inlet into compartment and then 1 for cold water into heater and the last is where hot water heater comes out. Is this all correct? If so am i also correct that valves lined up with pipe work means they are open and valves not lined up are closed? Dont want to burn up element right off the bat with these not all open. Thanks

Lined up with the pipe for open flow sounds right.

On my 26BH there is a by-pass valve that should be closed. It is vertical and has a red and blue pipe running into it.
