A/C Problem

I have a 28ft Sunset Trail Reserve. Went camping this weekend and turned on the furnace for the first time. Have used the AC several times before with no issues. The furnace made a noise like the fan was rubbing something and then quit. Then both the furnace and AC would not work. The LCD display on the thermostat is dead. I would appreciate hearing if anyone else has had this issue. And if so what caused it and if there is a way to fix it without having to take it in for service.
Thanks

I know some thermostats have a fuse inside them, but that won't address the noise/rubbing problem with the furnace. Wonder if something got into system.

I removed the grate and checked the squirrel cage. If I pushed it forward the noise stopped. That would indicate the something may be lose. That is likely something I can run down and fix. The bigger problem is that now nothing works....no furnace or AC. Nothing on the thermostat LCD. Checked all fuses. Any ideas?

Get out your voltmeter and test leads and trace the circuit - it's a power supply issue.

Yep...I was going to do that next. Was hoping someone else had the same problem and could lend some pointers as to what they found. I will post what I find out and hopefully it will help others in the future
Thanks
