Awning color

We just picked up our SST 250RB and really seem to like everything about the unit but I am not a fan of the white awning. I have had white awnings in the past and they were very difficult to keep clean. The awning is an LCI power awning and they do make a black replacement fabric for it. I know it may be hotter but easier to keep it looking nicer. We are also getting a black slide topper. Does anyone have any feedback or know how involved of a project it is to switch out the fabric? I've had white awnings on my last 2 rv's and never really had a problem cleaning them. Google do it yourself awning replacement and you'll get a good idea on how to replace one.

I have a mostly white awning and a black slide topper. The care for both is about the same.
