Awning replacement - not just the fabric...

What camping in Texas about a month ago, we ran into a nasty storm where a branch fell down wounded our air conditioner and our awning. Shocked as we may be the roof was OK, thankfully.

We had to replace the air conditioner right away on the road as it was flopping around. The awning we just tied in with zip ties and throw it home. Now I'm taking a look at it and the arms are damaged and the middle spindle as well. I looked at exact replacement but to be honest with you the pricing was very expensive and you could hardly get it to anybody. I'm looking through other websites such as etrailer.com, and finding lippert has some replacement awning kits. Has anyone done anything like this before? Looking for any tips or tricks that they may have run into.

Thank you in advance!

I just went through this. I had bent outer arms and one inner arm.
I bought used and take-off arms on eBay.
I saved hundreds of dollars.
You just have to shop around.

Wait, you found items on ebay? What brand awning do you have? Or do the pieces work across brands? Thank you!

I have a Lippert/Solara awning, from the factory. You need that brand. Measure your arms for accuracy.
Yes, I bought the arms on eBay.
