Got back this weekend from a week long trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. Stayed at Ocean Lakes. What a colossal park! This was our second trip in this trailer, our first was a long weekend at a nearby state park.
Got a lot of people stopping by to talk about my 25RB. Lots of people gave me good comments. Also got surprised looks when I told them bought brand new and no problems with it.
First two days had torrential rains. The first day was a travel day and towed down fine even with the foul weather. Day two was heavy rains as well. No leaks or issues whatsoever.
Only "problem" was one night I was stupid enough to leave my awning out. Come 2 am, storm kicked up with huge winds and heavy downpour. So I had to go out, remove tie-down straps, and retract awning. Soaked to the bone, but no damage to the awning!
Later in the week, it got quite hot and humid. AC no problem maintaining temp. Glad I upgraded to 15k.
Also, with both burners on, had no problem getting five people thru showers in the morning each day. Was quite happily surprised by that.
The park was wonderful if you don't mind busy places. The place was sold out and there was mucho activity, well into the evening. If you want peace and quiet, I'd suggest the state park or one of the other large RV parks nearby. But we loved the activity. I also now want a golf cart! They were everywhere, many fully customized. Too bad there is not a toy hauler in the Sunset Trail line that has all the features and finishes of my 25RB - I'd consider trading up. I may try to fit a cart in the bed of my 2500 and see how that goes.
There were many enormous 5th wheel toy haulers in the park. They look awesome, with all the room and garage, but they barely fit on the site! Watching them maneuver in and out of the park definitely gives me pause about such a large RV. I can barely get my 25RB on a site without hitting something - can't imagine a 5ver.
