Just bought a 29SS, 2013, Sunset Trail, went to empty grey water, valve was closed, as I removed the black sewer cap, water came out. I was told it should be empty. It did the same thing the next day when we went to empty the black water. Valves were closed both times, not sure why liquid is in the black sewer pipe, between the valve and the cap? Anyone had this problem?

sometimes my valves leak a little bit, but it sounds like you have more than a 'little bit'. I installed a secondary pull valve right at the sewer cap. Partly for the 'little surprise' but mostly so I could join the 2 grey tanks together. Our grey tank for the shower always seemed to fill first.
Maybe you have some blockage preventing a valve from closing all the way.

Thanks! Wasn't sure if it was because it was new and it had to get worked in or not.

Valve leaks and it is a pain in the backside. Get this twist on valve and you will not get a bath when you remove the cap.. Been there done that ... got the valve no more .

I'm having the same leaky black water valve problem on our 2012 ST30RE. It's just a little leak when the black tank is not too full, but last week, with a tank 2/3rds full, it was quite a suprise at the clean out. A fricken mess of at least a quart or two when I removed the cap. I've cleaned out the tank really well and dumped a 5 gallon pail of clear water in it, and am still getting a little leak. Going to check it out again after this weekend outing and if its still a problem, I'll bring it in for warantee work. Don"t need the agrivation!

Same issue with my 2013 ST30RE. A quart or two of black water all over the place every time I pull the cap off of the sewer pipe. I have some warranty service scheduled for next month, I'll have it checked out then and post an update.
