Condensation on ceiling by second ac unit rough-in

2015 Sunset Trail Reserve ST33FR w/ rough in for second AC unit (currently not being used).

So.. got a problem here and not sure what to do about it. We are camping in a high humidity area (Florida) and there is condensation forming on the ceiling by where the second AC unit should be mounted. I took the inside ring off around the pop-up vent (where the unit would be mounted) and found the duct taped up with foil tape. I noticed some air leaks so I figured I'd seal it up better. Now, it appears to be leaking inside the ceiling. I opened up the register vent hoping I could find a way to block it off from inside but it's much too large.

Anyone seen this or dealt with similar issues? 20210905_234534.jpg

Update.. it looks like it's also forming condensation inside the vents.

I opened it up last night like in the photos and there were drops of water on the floor this morning under it.

Ok...so I was running the fan all the time so I turned it off. Looks like that may have solved my issues. I guess time will tell. Anyone else ever see this? Wonder why it would do that? Poor insulation?

I would guess high humidity would be the biggest culprit, plus poor insulation.

What are the runs made out of? Metal or styrofoam?
Is there any way you can open the ceiling and wrap the runs with insulation?
