Connecting Insignia TV to Jensen Audio

It appears that the Insignia television has an audio out capability and the Jensen AWM968 stereo has an audio in capability. Looks like they would use the simple RCA connectors.

Has anyone connected these two items and will the television play through the interior and exterior speakers?

I hooked up our Haier TV to the Jensen stereo the same way as you are thinking. Then turn the TV speakers "off", using the audio function on the TV menu, and choose "external speakers" instead. Then choose the AUX input for the Jensen. It works on all the speakers in our unit, if they are selected.

Scott, was hoping that was the case. Thanks!
