Decals/Graphics

Like a lot of others out there with the Chocolate Brown front on their trailer mine has faded beyond waxing.

I have checked other threads on decals but are usually buried in some other issue and didn't get anywhere with my issue. Having the front cap on my 2014 Sunset Trail Reserve painted and clear coat but need the front decals to put on afterwards.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the front decals/graphics for this unit?

Thanks for any assistance here.

When mine was painted ,crossroads shipped the decals to a local dealer .. I picked them up there and gave them to,the paint shop.,
Worth a call to crossroads/ keystone.

Take a picture of them before removal. If you can't get them from crossroads then you will have to find a sign/decal/graphic shop to make them.
Some of the other members have done it that way.

I had decals made for a boat trailer by a local sign shop. They can do some very good work now days with their computers.

Thanks Harley and Lloyd for the advice on this. There is a Graphic place here in Winnipeg and I'll check with them and call Crossroads as well.

Thanks Mark. I have a message in to them and waiting for a response on availability. There is also a similar outlet in Canada and have messaged them as well. I'll contact Crossroads on Monday to see if they have them as well. Hopefully one of them has kept the computer graphic file that can generate these decals. It can get very expensive to have them done anew by a graphic artist tech.

I'll post what I find out on these as there appears to be a number of Sunset Trail owners out there with the same problem with having to renew the faded front cap on their trailer and will possibly be looking for decals as well

I found this site https://www.rvdecalsdirect.com/ which is located in Canada. They carry a wide assortment of decals to fit many of the major brands including my Sunset Trail Reserve. The only problem is I found mine listed under a 2015 STR and mine is 2014, which is not a big deal as long as they are good decals.

There display does look impressive and carries decal packages for the full trailer as well.

I am trying to contact them for further info. The only contact is an info@ email address but no phone or address for location. Cannot find any reviews for them as well except for three that are posted on their site.

Has anyone used this company before?

Yakherder, just an FYI, the painting & decals should be covered under warranty by Crossroads even if your basic warranty has expired. We had our 2013 done not too long ago and we didn't pay for anything. I would suggest talking to Crossroads directly, they are well aware of this issue.

Thanks for the info. We had ours done a few years ago but our RV dealer said that Crossroads wouldnt cover it. Ours is also a 2013. We paid over $1,000 for it to be repainted. Do u have a phone number for Crossroads? Our one side that faces the sun is now really fading and showing a crackling look

Very interesting Mark85. Who did you speak to on getting your front cap painted under warranty? You must have done a lot of sweet talking for that to happen.

From other posts with people having the same problem with faded caps due to a poor gel coat, which was a manufacturing defect, for those years of trailers could not get them covered once the one or two year warranty had expired. Some had tried one week past the warranty period and were denied.

I just read my warranty on the fiberglass, which was supplied by Crane Composites to Crossroads , and the warranty was for two years from sale of the trailer or three years from date of manufacture. This warranty applied to the Original Owner. In my case, I am the third owner so this does not seem to apply to me.

I just received a quote of $2,500. to repaint and another $250. for decals from RV Decals Direct.

I contacted Crossroads for the decals and received a reply from Keystone, advising that they had no information on parts and I should contact a dealer.

Mark85, could you supply some more details:
Make of your trailer,
If you are the original owner,
Whether it was Crossroads or Keystone you dealt with,
How long ago did have this work done
Was this under an extended/hidden warranty program for the defect

You may be making a number of us with the same problem very happy if this can be covered by warranty.

Thanks for your post on this.

Looks great. To late for me though. Trailer is in paint shop and due out on Tuesday. My decals have arrived and can't be returned so will put them on. No use putting them on my bedroom walls, eh! CR or Keystone should have been the ones paying for this problem.

Just wanted to post the pictures of the finished paint and decal work on my trailer. Also included is the paint information for anyone who is looking to get close to the original paint from factory.
