I have a family member withtravel trailer (not sure of brand) and he went to disconnect his water hose from the trailer and got an electrical zap. He had to unplug the power cord so he could un hook the hose.

Any idea where we would even start to try and track down what would cause that?

Thanks,
Rich

Sound like there is a electrical issue - cable wire and contacting the chassis of the trailer. May be tough to find. MAy be a load off the breaker panel that can be turned off. A voltmeter may help you find the issue - know any electricians?

Don't suppose your friend has had some electrical work done has he??? Sounds like the pedestal or the power cord to the rig has been wired incorrectly. As mentioned a voltmeter may discover the problem.
