End of Season Checks

Well, we've had a great first season in our new 32RL 5'er and it's now time to put it away for the winter. Our dealer offers a free first year winterization along with the 6 month all point inspection that's performed under warranty. My question is; are there certain aspects that I should look for being done? And are there critical areas that I need to ensure are done? A fore note...We really have a great dealer that backs up everything they sell. A true 5 star customer service! I just want to make sure I understand everything that should be done. I base my reply on personal experience with my 2014 335ss. By now you should have a list of things you want recitfied - start there. I also included things I wanted confirmed and verified correct - such as wheel bearings, axle "truness" (no flattening), brakes, A/C and Heating ducts (check hidden connections), slide operation and gasket material, etc. Basically, I read this site on a daily basis and look for things that have bugged other owners - usually a good place to start. Even if you are not having a problem, asking them to verify and confirm "correct" operation is a bit of insurance. Because, according to a nephew who used to work Customr Service, the request is "on the books" in case you have a later issue.....

Have the dealer familiarize you with the winterization process for the future. Report any issues you may have and make sure he notifies Crossroads of the warranty inspection. Sounds like you have a good dealer hopefully you used your unit enough to work out any bugs as you probably have a one year warranty.

One thing I always do is add 20 lbs of air to the tires before I store ours for the winter, I think I read that in Trailer Life 2 or 3 years back.

Just brought mine in for my 1 year maintenance and roof inspection. Crossroads approved Berryland RVin Hammond, Louisiana. It is a cry better from where I bought it, It spend 2 months for a 6 month check=up. They said they will get it in Tuesday and shouldn't be over a few days with the service. They are doing everything on my Crossroads Redwood checklist plus a few items I had. A clean place with plenty of techs. It is also close to the house at I-55 and I-12 hub. Getting ready for the Southern winter RVing.

Being in Vermont, I recommend inspecting for yourself after the checkup that all caulking seals on the roof and walls are intact and that all slides make proper compression when closed against the trailer body. At a minimum, if you don't cover the entire rig cover your fridge roof vent (if applicable) and your AC unit.
