Wrap Faded Cap?

Has anybody had their faded front cap "wrapped" instead of painted? Like those cars/trucks that have graphics and advertising. I spoke to a wrap shop and while they haven't seen my unit yet, they said it might be a cost effective alternative to painting. I got one quote of $2000 CDN to paint it. Going to get a quote to wrap next week. Just not sure of the durability of the wrap material.

Faded front cap

I had the bottom half of mine sprayed with color matched rock guard. The lower decals had a couple chips and started to peal from the dealer transfer...so they offered a free rock guard or a new cap. I took the rock guard and coated the rest of the cap with Meguiars Premium Marine Wax. It's made for gel coats and does an awesome job of protecting. I used it on my boat and it was absolutely amazing! So far so good on the camper!! Here are a couple of pics when I hooked up two weeks ago to bring it to the dealer for warranty on the awning lights. It has not been washed since the fall and still looks pretty good. I'll toss another coat on before the first camping trip!

stone guard looks good ....but dont waste your time with the awning lights as they will just burn out again. Mine are 1/4 out on the 2nd round.

Thumbs down Fading cap

Cutting grass yesterday, looked at the front of our ST32RL from a couple different angles I noticed the top of the front cap fading. This is happening at the top of the Sunset Trail decal to the very top. Have always applied a polymer sealer rather than wax and was surprised to see the amount of fading. Will take the unit to the dealer we purchased it from to see whether a claim will be honored by Crossroads.

Do not care what colour they have for the front cap or what they call the finish , they all seem to fade unless they are clear coated from the get go. You will need a paint job . Polymer or wax will not do anything.

I agree with Harley, they will all fade. The front cap on mine has faded and a buddy has a Keystone with a brown front cap, his has faded too. I think it ruins the look of an otherwise sharp looking trailer, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
