Fresh water levels issue

Good morning everyone,

We are enjoying our first trip with our Sunset Trail 330BH. I filled the fresh water tank until it was overflowing . That was yesterday'!!!! We haven't used much water at all, but this morning my water level is down to 1/3. We are on the beach, so local water hookup is not an option.

Have you checked the drain plug tightness?

Should be a black screw on cap on the drain line. On the 289qb, it hangs straight down near the middle of the front of the trailer.

I've checked every drain. We are on the beach, so I would also have wet sand..... completely dry.

If youre going by the gauges/sensors on the rv they are totally worthless. I have 1 black, 2 gray, & 1 fresh water sensor & regardless of what's in them they either read 1/3 Or 2/3. DO NOT RELY ON ANY OF THEM & all the cleaners, ice cube tricks, magic elixirs DO NOT help. Sorry I can't help you figure how much water you have onboard, but if it's not leaking & you haven't used much then maybe it's still nearly full, but looking at the gauges won't help.
If still under warranty you could report they don't work, but in my opinion they'll keep your rv for 6-8 weeks then replace with the same sensors that after filled once won't be accurate either.

On one of our old trailers I had the tank get air locked and push water out the vent long before the tank was full. Also if the trailer isn't leave the tank will not fill all the way either. It takes quite a while for me to fill the 43 gallon tank with a hoes. Any chance it wasn't full?

That would be my guess, too.
