On our first trip in the Colorado mountains with our new 2013 Sunset Trail ST 30 RE. Loving it!

So, it's still a bit cold out here and subsequently we turned on the furnace to warm up. Seems, however that the Air Conditioner also came on at the same time. Are we doing something wrong?

The furnace blew hot air from the floor, but we also had "cool" air coming in from the ceiling. Is this supposed to happen.

Thanks!

JW & CW

Check your thermostat. If the mode is set to auto change it to heat.

Also make sure fan is on auto. If fan is on lo or hi, it will blow from the ceiling while the heat blows from the floor

Our SF32RL does the samething. Was loading our Generator running Heat Pump.
Turns out Thermostat is "programed" to ALWAYS go to HeatPump 1st when asking for heat if shore power is available, even Generator.
We personally don't care for thermostat design of ALWAYS using heat pump 1st.

Ok I had same issue oand saw only 3 modes (Fan, A/C, Heater), then I figured out the Hi/Lo mode. But now the darn smoke detector keeps going off. How do I fix that?
