Hot Water Heater Problem

Fixed a leaky faucet and went to check my work but, when I turned on the hot water, I have none!

I have a brand new 2020 Crossroads Sunset Trail RK291. I appear to have no functioning on either the electric or gas side.

I've checked:

Propane supply

every fuse

every breaker

we are not winterized

our dometic unit has no reset buttons

Everything else in the trailer works...air, range, microwave, lights...

We called Keystone and best they can do is to take it to our local dealer...which is over an hour away. We called them and they have a 2 week back log.

We are supposed to be leaving for a trip this weekend. Any ideas on how I can fix it or some other way to address this?

Thanks!

Check that the winterizing bypass valves are in the proper position.

I agree with Russ.

If the heater is working you can open the pressure valve to ensure it is hot. If it is hot check the valves to make sure water is glowing out.

Flowing not glowing, if it is glowing you have bigger problems[emoji4]

First on the gas side have someone turn it on while you listen at the water heater. You should hear it click or spark while trying to light. If there is air in the lines it may take several tries. Also did it work before? Or is this the first time you tried it?

If it lights and still no hot water double check the by pass as it is a new camper and it may be in by pass mode.

This is what the valve position should look like.

This is a great suggestion. I'll often go in and light my range burners. When they get fuel, I know everything else will (fridge and water heater).
