Is there a dedicated outlet for dehumidifier water drain

I've bought recently a SS239BH - as a part of care/maintenance I want to set up a dehumidifier inside and run it for couple hours per day but at the same time I do not want to worry if the tank is full. The dehumidifier has an output for a garden hose. Worst case I could just run the drain to the grey water tank and dump it once a week. That is unless there is a cleaner solution, some sort of dedicated port/opening I could run garden hose through to outside the trailer and let water go "real time". I'd prefer to avoid drilling new holes right away. Thanks in advance.

Could you just place it in the Bathtub and let it drain from there? It's going to take the dehumidifier a long time to fill up that tank if it's empty. You could always leave the valve open and get a cap like this one if you wanted to direct the water to a specific place.

Keep in mind.. I would only do this if there is no chance of it freezing.

Perfect, I didn't even think there may be caps like that.

I was rather thinking about leaving it on the counter and draining it to the sink - bath is much more confined space and it would be tough to get good air circulation.

By my understanding of physics freezing shouldn't be a problem or concern unless it is for extended period of time - the only risk of blowing anything is when a tube/pipe is filled to at least 80% of section profile and freezes completely. Otherwise expansion shouldn't be dangerous to such open end drain. At least that's my official position until verified by mother nature.

Which could happen if there is a low spot in the line, or it fills a coupler, or a elbow.
My understanding is the couplers and such will break quicker then the line.

What about the p-trap? Is there one under your sink?

As far as I know p-traps are considered to be safe when it comes to freezing and bursting the assembly. Do you empty them (both the sink and bath ones) when winterizing?

No, but I do pour a splash of rv antifreeze in there.

No you would not empty them but you do pour antifreeze in them to keep them from freezing.

Is this for storage or will you be using the dehumidifier while camping?

I use a small dehumidifier when not camping and it’s in the 50’s or higher. I leave mine on the counter and drain into the kitchen sink. On the outside at the drain I have a Sewer Cap with Hose Connection I use a short piece of hose with a screen on the end; just to keep stink bugs etc out. And I leave the grey tank valve open. During the winter I don’t use the dehumidifier due to freezing in the trap or in the dehumidifier.

All good info. I didn't consider dropping antifreeze into anything but the toilet but it does make sense and I'll make it so.

I purchased the drain cap, seems like a no brainer true and tested solution. Thank you all for your contribution!

I run a dehumidifier in my camper all the time when it is home. The drain hose is a small diameter clear vinyl hose. I extend it to the outside at the corner of the slide. It will fit through there if the slide is open or closed. There is little humidity during the winter, so it does not freeze. It removes a lot during the summer, but by just passing it through the edge of the slide seal I don't have to worry about filling my tanks with water from the air.

Just like in your case it will run when the trailer is not in use. I'll set it up either with internal timer or a smart plug to turn on and off for few hours per day. I have a 50 pint dehumidifier sitting around, it will be well in excess of what's needed. The water can be gathered either in the internal tank or disposed through garden hose adapter - nothing I would try to push through any seal unless I make some reducer to small diameter vinyl like you mentioned. To be honest the idea of the grey tank and drain cap proposed fits better with me but thanks a lot for a good alternative.
