Kitchen Counter

Looks like my kitchen counter is pulling away from the wall and guess what.....warranty ran out last month!

Anyone else have this issue and a few tip on how to fix it?

Thanks,

Ian

If the counter is pulling away, is the cabinet below it also pulling away? If not, maybe the counter-top is loose from the cabinet. Look under the cabinet. Not sure if the counter is glued with silicone to the cabinet or the counter is attached with screws. If you could loosen up the counter top, you could slide it back into position and either re-glue to cabinet or re-screw it.
Check it out.

My kitchen cabinet is also pulling away from the slide. I can see what I think is the problem but don't know how I can fix it. If I am not already out of warranty I will be very soon. I will be calling CR today and get it documented that this has happened. That way I can at least say it was reported before the warranty ran out...

I called CR customer service and had them add the kitchen cabinet to my file. That way I can get it fixed after my last trip in October.

The reason I just noticed it was, the wife and I were doing a one nighter (take it easy boys, I mean lay over) at a campground, on the way to our destination and it was raining. We decided to leave the two main living area slides in the stow position. Didn't even unhook the truck. When I went to the frig to get a drink, I could see a gap between the counter top and the 1/4 round trim. After further investigation I noticed a gap on the side of the cabinet next to the sink cabinet. The next day when we got to our destination with the slide out both the gaps went away. They will only appear when the slide is in the stow (in) position....

Ian
How are you making out with your cabinet. Did you call CR customer service.

No I haven't called Crossroads as I am 2 months out of warranty. Didn't think it would be worth the effort?

Roadie66, you should contact CrossroadsRV and let them know that all of your friends on the forum recommended that you contact them. I know that they have helped a lot of owners who were out of warranty. They want to keep you as a customer. Good luck.

This is the person we have contacted in the past. I know there are others that have been equally helpful. Good luck. BTW, a telephone call works best.

Call CR. The president of CR (ANDY) told us at this past factory rally even if you were out of warranty he would do something for you if you had a problem..

Andy the president is a male...the service writer Andi is a female and works as Randy's assistant. Bottom line call them

Jean...what is Andy's last name. It starts with a C ...can't remember.

Thank you Al. I knew his name began with a C, but could not remember it.
