Leak under kitchen sink
I have a brand new 2020 Crossroads Sunset Trail 29RK. We are on our second trip out ever and under the kitchen sink...at the connection between the braided line and the plastic line for our hot water hose there is a sporadic leak. When it occurs it's a pretty reasonable drip, not spraying and not slow. We are on city water and I have a pressure regulator attached. We've tried watching it while we took showers, used the bathroom sink, toilet, kitchen sink, none of those things seems to trigger it. But from time to time I'll check the pan I put under there and I'll find a new supply of water. Once I did catch it actually dripping.
The connection seems at least hand tight, I didn't go put a wrench on it or anything.
Thanks!

I used plumbers pipe putty on mine when it was dripping. I believe you could also use Teflon pipe ribbon. I'm sure either one would work.
Good luck.

Just something to check. Next time you find a drip take a paper towel and check the line above the fitting to see if the leak is coming from the fitting or higher. We had a drip that i could not find and it turned out to be the spout on the faucet was loose where it swivels and when it was in just the right spot it would leak and water would run down to the fitting where it dripped off.
I tried the water pump test - turn off city water open any faucet to relieve pressure then turn on pump to pressurize the lines then listen for the pump. It will make a sort of "blurp" if you have a leak but it may take a little while.. Ours did not do that so i knew the leak was after the valves.
Again may not be your problem but something to check.

Yes to all the above suggestions.
If you do put a wrench in there be careful not to OVER TIGHTEN IT.
If it is the compression joint, PTFE tape will most certainly cure it.
Good luck.

A new trailer will always have a small leak on the hot side after a little use ,hot and cold make it leak, just really hand tighten. .

I just had the same thing with my 2019 Zinger. I just put pipe thread on and tightened it good and it fixed my problem. It only happened when i had to use my water heater.

Good , but these fittings dont require tape, but if it wouldn't tighten then it is a good fix. Hot will always flex when used and drip a bit. Pain to get under but have to do it, check your shower also, will have to take a panel off.

Just remembered that the easy way to sense a leak is to put some water in your tank and turn on pump. Shut all taps and wait...couple of beers is a good sense of time. If pump kicks on just a little now and then , then you have a leak somewhere. Would never know if hooked to city water.
