Leaky shower faucet

Hello,
1stPost and1st RV.Just took delivery last week of a 32FR 2013Now I'm going thru the entire trailer to find problems that need to be addressed.
1st one is that the faucet in the shower is leaking where the shower hose attaches to. Its not an issue of the hose not being attached properly or needs to be tightened, but it look like it the piece that is coming out of the faucet housing. Has anyone had this problem before or does it look like it needs to go in for
warranty work

In the past, those faucets are pretty cheap. I know mine is. Make sure the rubber gasket or O-ring is installed in the hose. If it is the valve itself where the hose attaches (they sometimes crack) then it has to be replaced. As i said they are cheap so you might want to replace it yourself instead of a long drive to the dealer.

I had the same problem, turns out the gasket Stan is mentioning was missing, and water sprayed everywhere. I made a rubber gasket and all is well.

I will go out at make sure it has a gasket. But I'm pretty sure the male threaded part might be cracked orloose.I know theyare cheap ( Faucet) I did also noticethat when I did run the water,some of the water stays in the handles.future mold problem. It looked like two cups of water. Might try to change the style of faucet that will not holdwater. How hard is it to change a shower faucet.

Pretty easy job but finding a better quality one that fits the holes may be hard. There should be a panel held with screws on the wall behind the valve. That will give you access to the supply hoses. Pull the handles off and the cartridges and the valve body should be free after removing the supply hoses.

I have an opening below the faucet, but the hose lines are attached with a clip that is pressed on. after I remove the hose lines and replace the faucet, can you just use a hose clamp to reinstall the hoses.

Not familiar with the clip you describe. If you have white PEX tubing, you can cut the tubing off square 6-8" below the faucet (whatever is comfortable for your access panel) and remove the faucet. Then fiqure out how to attach an equal amount of tubing to the new faucet and use Sharkbite fittings (Home Depot or Lowes) to splice the tubing ends together. All my fittings are white plastic which I can get at my local Ace Hardware. Keep in mind the new faucet may not mount the supply hose the same way as the old faucet.

Thanks, I forgot about the sharkbite fittings, they are great, My hoses are blue and red, but im sure they are standard sized,
