Ordered some new LED strip lighting from Super Bright LEDS. Changing the front strip (mostly dead) from blue to amber, and the one around the kitchen island pendant (totally dead) will remain blue. I'll let you know how the replacement goes.

From what I read in all these forums about all the LEDS you'd better order 3-4 sets & install them with velcro or zippers so in a couple weeks they'll be easier to change/replace.

I totally agree...for the most part these factory installed LED's are nothing but RV bling bling and not worth a crap...IMHO

I received and installed the new LEDS around the light above my kitchen island. We do like the ambiance that the lights provide. I have used these same lights from SuperBright LEDs on my boat with good results. The front lights will get changed out next time I'm down at the lake (where I store my camper).

Robb, what P/N's did you order? I might just tackle your mods also...

Pictures would be nice if you have any?

The blue strip leds are Part Number: WFLS-B60-BK. The amber strip leds are Part Number: WFLS-A60-BK. They are both Outdoor LED Strip Lights - Weatherproof 12V LED Tape Light - 76 Lumens/ft. - 100cm[39.3in] available at SuperBrighteLEDS.com. No pics of install yet.

How should one go about removing and replacing the front cap light strip? The ends have some sort of putty. Should I pry the whole thing off with a screw driver? Will the wires be visible from the outside or will I need to get at this by removing a panel inside the storage compartment?

Thanks!

Just pull the light strip off. It's held on with adhesive. The goop on the ends is just some sort of caulk. You'll probably have some residue left that can be removed with Goof-Off or some other solvent. The wire harness will pull out of the hole that on mine seems to have been drilled with a rock. Cut the wires and attach the new ones. Stick the light strip on and seal the ends with silicone sealer or some form of caulk.

Awesome, that is exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!

Try https://www.boogeylights.com/ I finally ordered some to go under awning and got rid of the ones inside the awning. I think their single color is warranted for 3 years and multi colored is warranty for 1. I’m pleased with mine and when you put them on they stick. They make them for RV’s, trucks etc. seem to be made better than others for sure.
