looking at pictures online at this TT it looks like entrance door does not open flat against camper but rather sticks straight out. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks
Remove strut and install a latch. Problem might be lack of something solid on the wall to fasten latch to. Not too many vertical studs on these units. They call them hung walls.

Thanks for the replies. What's the deal with them being strutted now. I understand if something is in the way, like the awning arm, but if not why? That's a deal killer for my family, we like the door opened flat for views and ventilation. Not to mention running into a half open door.
I asked the dealer this question when I bought my ST. Mind you he is no expert on anything but taking customer's $$ when the ink has dried, but he said they strutted the doors because there was previously an issue with the wind catching the door when latched and pulling the latch from the wall panel. Probably just made this up, but it does make some sense.

He is exactly correct, for whatever reason, Cross Roads put the door holder opener latchy thing nearest the hing when the door is open. Screwed into the plastic skirt of the RV. It was just waiting for a wind (breeze) to come and rip it from its mount. This was the first shortcoming I noticed on my unit. Mine is still intact but I don't use it too often.
You can see mine in my sig pic. It is just below the left side of window. Supposed to be in a stud. If the wind is blowing that damn hard I ain't gonna be using it anyway.

Yours is located where it normally should be, on some, like mine the door holder is located near the hing. This is due to the location of the awning arms. This holds the door open at a good angle, which allows a lot of wind to get behind it. Doesnt take much. And on mine, no stud. Just the skirting with screws.
