I am a new owner of a Sunset Trail 32FR . Hopefully, I have made a good purchase. Floor model is great for my family. Is there anything (pros or cons) that you can enlighten me on.

Congrats on the new sunset trail. I'm sure you will love it. We love our Zinger, it has been good to us for the 2 1/2 yrs we have owned it so far. The biggest thing these days for crossroads has been a decrease in warranty from 2 yrs to 1 yr and what seems like a decrease in quality control. If you did a good pdi and really looked at and operated everything and there were no issues then that is half the battle right there. Just keep a good eye on your caulking and do your routine maintenance. Climb on your roof min of 1-2x per year. Keep up with washing it etc. The roof is frequently the source of leaks on any brand/manufacturer of trailer. I can say I have only had a handful of small issues arise and crossroads took care of them under warranty. I have seen some really positive and some really negative stories of how crossroads has handled peoples issues. Remember that if you are having difficulties w/ a dealership (even if the dealership blames crossroads) then contact crossroads customer service directly. Lots of good numbers/emails available on these boards to get that done in a timely fashion. Also tons of help from wonderful members on these boards. on a side note, I see you are from SC, check out themason dixon rally in the rally section.

We bought ours about 18 months ago and have spent a bunch of time in it. The only issue we had we corrected after the first night of our "shake down cruise" - the sorry excuse they have for a mattress. Once that was done, we've simply done various mods to make it better for us.

The 32FR is a unique floor plan we've never seen in another RV that fits our family and lifestyle perfectly! Enjoy!!!

How did you correct the mattress problem?

We drove past a mattress store, found a queen mattress we liked and paid for it. Then we drove to their warehouse and in the parking lot, swapped the new mattress with the rock that came with the trailer and "donated" the rock to the warehouse employee who helped us get the new mattress into the trailer. Heads up: Putting a standard, house mattress into the trailer took a lot of force because they don't bend all that well. We got it in, but it was tough! We didn't think it would be that hard, honestly.

I had the same issue with the mattress in my Sunset30RE. My wife couldn't even sleep on it at all so I replaced it with a short queen Sleep Number mattress just before our most recent trip. To me it sleeps like a dream and it really wasn't any problem at all to install.
