If anyone is towing their Sunset Trail with a Nissan Titan 4x4 and uses an Equalizer brand hitch could you post a pic of your hitch head and shank set up. I'm trying to determine if the the standard 3"drop/7"rise shank will work with the ST's or if a longer drop/rise shank is needed.

Thanks

i am not really familiar with your tow vehicle. i wil tell you about our Yukon XL . the receiver is built right into the frame and if memory serves me it is about 23 inches to the receiver . i also have an equilizer . when we picked up our new TT i took my long extendedshank with me . the shank from equilizer was way too short . if your receiver is under the frame of your TV it will probably work . did you measure the distance from the ball of your TT to the ground when it is sitting level ? this shold help to see if ou need a longer shank . goodluck

Didn't get a chance yet to take measurements and don't recall the ones from my current TT. I won't pick up my new 1200/12K Equalizer hitch until Sat at the dealer when doing the full PDI on the ST290QB. I will be installing the hitch myself since they want to charge a ridiculous price to do it for me. We went and did a quick tour of the290QB and to get some answers to extendedwarranty questions and noticed the hitch seemed to sitlower than on our Roo. I just wanted to see if I might have to buy a longershank and not take a chance on havingto delay pick up.

if you don't have a 3/4 ton or a yukon/tahoe then the regular shank works good.
