You did not say, are you on shore power??
You should first determine if you have hot water, but aren't getting it to the faucets. You can do that by CAREFULLY opening the pressure relief valve on the water heater. You access that outside. Open the access door and it is a brass valve with a small handle on it. Be careful, it gushes out.
Have you heard your water heater fire up at all on gas? It's usually pretty obvious, and there is heat exhaust coming from the water heater outside.
You don't have a pilot light. If you turn on the switch on your control panel, you should see the switch light up. Have someone outside observing what happens, and turn on the switch. After a short time, they should hear a 'click' when the gas valve turns on. If you get that far, let us know what happens. The water heater will attempt to start a couple times, and if it fails, there will be a small error LED flashing on the lighted switch. Let us know if it gets that far. That is usually a gas issue.
It's odd that both gas and electric quit working.
When you turn on the electric water heater switch, it should light up. If it doesn't, the water heater is not getting power. If you have a fireplace, the electric water heater and fireplace will not work at the same time, and there is a switch to choose one or the other.
Do not just throw expensive parts at it, there is a practical way to troubleshoot it.
