No Walk Roof

I have a 300BH. I know it has a no walk roof. I've already had to get up there once to install a vent cover and I quickly realized just how much flex there is to it. Was just very careful to keep my weight to the side and just lean over to work on the vent. Even with that you do have to get up at least some on the roof. Was just careful to keep my weight over the roof truss and close to the vent where it felt more supported. Still, a very awkward process. Are there any suggestions, tricks of the trade to working on the roof? How do the repair folks work on one? Is there something you can build to lay over the roof to distribute your weight? There are some things up there that are more central and there is no way you can work on it without getting further up on the roof. Just interested in hearing how others are handling this.

I just stay on the trusses, you could put some carpet on a piece of plywood and span the trusses. to more evenly distribute the weight

I have the same trailer and went through the same thing last year. Keep a sheet of CDX strand board handy. I just moved the board around the roof when upgrading the bath fan.

I was up on my roof a few weekends ago, just step on the trusses and you will be fine. I was in bare feet as well. If you need to do some work get a piece of wood that spans at least two trusses and kneel on that. I put some old foam on the top and bottom to protect the roof and my knees.

Just be careful getting on and off the roof I nearly kicked my ladder over getting on the first time.

Been there done that. Folder ladders make it hard to get on the roof without kicking away the ladder.

Good advice. My dealer said it was no problem to get on roof. He said no parties but maintenance was fine. This tells me they do not go up there with any wood. I have not been on my roof but this is what I will do.

At the factory and good dealers they use a specialized scaffolding.
