Removing furnace

Hello all, I have a 2020 253RB sunset trail and I need to remove the furnace to replace a sail switch. Can I remove furnace without removing outside exhaust vent then just slide furnace back onto exhaust vent when I'm done? It's cold here in Wisconsin and I don't think I can warm the glue/silicone they have around the outside of vent enough so I don't damage the body. The furnace fan runs for 15-20 seconds then shuts off. I'm leaning towards the sail switch. Thanks everyone

Do you know what brand furnace you have. Some can but it also depends on if it will come apart easily or not.

Just a couple questions --- are you sure that you have gas at the furnace? Do you hear the igniter spark/click?

Not saying it is not the sail switch. Just with the effort involved to remove it you want to be sure.

Don't know the brand of furnace till I can pull it out and see a name plate. It has a full tank of gas. No clicking sound of it trying to ignite.

Hi Camping 2020
The make of your furnace should be on an info sheet. Mine is glued to the inside of a kitchen door. Also on mine the sail switch was accessible through the kitchen drawers, and no need to pull the furnace. Hope yours is the same.

Good luck Finlay

Smile

Hi
Mine is a bit older, 2008 Seville 5th wheel 36 ft. long. We are full timers for last 8 years and have had very little furnace problems. The furnace is Suburban SF35C

In Canada, full timing, the furnace is used lots in winter. LOL
Cheers Finlay

***update*** removing furnace was very easy, removed 2 screws holding furnace to platform, twisted vents off, removed gas line. Didnt have to remove outside vent pipe furnace slid off pipe. purchased new sail switch and reassembled everything. Furnace works great now.
