Roof Issues

I guess I expected too much from the company. Shame on me for trying to figure out why there was a gap when the sheeting should be flush on the roof.

Here is the latest response from Crossroads:

Good morning,
There are no leaks and your warranty expired 15 months ago. At this time, there is nothing to be reviewed. I have attached your emails to the service record. Thank you

If I ever buy another TT at least I am better prepared to examine it. It certainly will not be a Crossroads.

TxCowboy,

Thanks for the response. I do not know how they constructed it but that does not seem far fetched. Yet a simple response by the company would have clarified it and left me better off.

Thats a terrible reply but not really unexpected considering the track record of manufactures these days. . I'm sure some of the knowledgeable folks on here can help you come up with a plan to secure it. Or at least make it so the possibility of a leak will be less likely.

There are rubber roof repair kits. Might be prudent to beef up the suspect areas.

If this ridge area is a known trouble spot, I'd probably consider reinforcing that area if I could find the patch material in a long roll. Most kits seem to come with only a small area patch.

Just thinking long term....

EDIT: I did find long repair tape at Camping World but it looks like silver duct tape which means it is going to look like crap when it's installed. I guess you could paint over it to color match the roof.

Eternabond Tape comes in varying lengths and widths as well as white or tan.

I recall seeing another pic where someone had reinforced that seam with the tape. Cant find it now.

Yes I did too, it was a repair. I was looking for it as a possible solution. I am still trying to find it. Thanks.

Yes our Sunset Trail has had that issue since it was new. Had the dealer document it in case there were any issues. The dealer also showed me the roofs on a few other new Crossroads units on there lot, most had many bubble in the roof material. Keep an eye on it.

I just found this on my 2017 SS331BH this weekend after camping. Appears the decking material is lifting off the framing along the door side of the unit. I will be contacting my dealer today and see when they can get it in.
