Shower floor soft spot.

We bought this 2014 sf28bh in November and took it out for her maiden voyage on New Years week. First use of the shower we felt a soft spot in the shower pan by the drain. The rest of the floor is solid. Is that normal in an RV shower pan? Taking it back to the dealer for them to check this and a short in the livingroom which includes the refrigerator.

take the small panel off in front of the shower (should be 4 screws) and look inside to see if there are any 2x4's or something supporting floor . Mine did not have enough ,so I added a few more and glued or siliconed them in place.

X2. Between shower door and drain was soft in mine. I guess they left it out for access to plumbing? I just cut a 2x4 to fit and wedged it in. No glue was necessary.

Yes, normal. there is no support under the tub close to the drain. You can add support like others have stated.

Another alternative to placing wood under the pan is to stack and glue pieces of wall foam panels.
