I would wait to pull them out to see what fits. The width is not the only critical dimension, the depth can be also. The impedance should be matched as well.

mine are 5.5 and have a small shallow magnet. i have some 6.5 that I'm putting in BUT need spacers to allow for the much larger and deeper magnets. I'm adding a 50x4 amp with a sub out channel that's 100x1 for my subwoofer, I'll see how well the outside speakers handle the extra power before replacing them. Inside is Polk Audio with a Jl sub box and I may replace the outside with Rockford marine speakers.
