Slide maintenance.

Just another FYI.
Today we finished with our warranty work. One of the items were the slides. The tech was showing me how to lubricate the rubber seals on both the inside and outside of the slides. He said if you don't and the slide is either open or closed for too long the seals can stick and rip off. He did say not to lubricate the blades that swipe the water off because you want those to be firm. He also recommends lubing the tracks with every use.
Interesting thing they installed aluminum strips under the main slide so the rollers would put pressure on the aluminum and not dig into the wood. I thought it was a great idea.

Red face

It's getting dark and I'm doing this from my iPad. The pictures are upside down. I don't know why.

I did, I even edited the picture and save it upside down and it still posted wrong. The pieces are about an 1/8" thick and 4" wide with stainless steel screws.

Is there something special you are supposed to use to do the lubrication on the seals and the slide tracks? I would suspect some lubricants like WD40 might attract dirt and dust. Just curious.
