I have a 2007 ST30BH and the slide has stopped working. I'd like to fix it myself if possible however the bottom is insulated and I don't know where to cut to get to the slide motor and wiring. Does anyone know approximately where the motor is located? I'd rather not have to do a massive duct tape job on the insulation if possible.
Also, can someone provide a check list ofslideout repair steps before I get started?
Most of the trailers have a cutout in the underbelly below the slide motor that you can remove. Look for an area opposite the slide that has some metal straps screwed into the underbelly. It is generally about a 12" x 12" area if I remember correctly.

Under my '07, there are a 4 metal trim pieces forming a 12" square. I was told this is where the motors are located. I have one square for each of my two side slides. The bedroom slide motor is inside the bed framing. Don't have a checklist but I would try everything else before cutting the membrane...IE switch, fuse, jammed bell, etc.
Fixed!
Just a loose connection as I suspected. The only trick was finding it without cutting the insulation. FYI, the motor is almost right under the stairs on this model (2007 ST30BH) - thanks dalemac377</span>. I just unscrewedabout 6 feet of the rail that holds the insulation up and I made an opening big enough to work thru.
