Slide out supports

I have a 270BH, my wife thinks we need slide out supports. I have read that some manufacturers do not recommend them. What are you alls thoughts?

When we were at the rally last year, that question came up when the "experts" were doing their presentations. The answer was no, you do not need them.

Would not ever use them !! If rv settles even a little it puts undo strain on the slides. If you are permanently parked with frame blocked up securely, maybe use them.

I used a set of slideout supports 4 years ago in Amarillo, TX on a concrete pad. As previously stated, The end result was the slideouts settled onto the supports resulting in a lot of manipulation of the slideout to free it from the supports. That was the first and last time I used them. Although, we now full time, I continue to bring the slideouts in and out at set intervals to assure their proper operation and lubrication.
