Angry Slide problem

Just getting ready to take my Sunset Trial Reserve 30re out for the very first time. Tonight I found out that I am unable to get my slide in. The front motor stops a few seconds into The run while the back motor continues causing the slide to come in crooked. Then the whole thing stops with my slide still 30 plus inches out. It will extend out again only to have the same problem repeat coming in. Needless to say I am pissed. It is after store hours and no emergency number to call that I can see on the RV stores web site. Big plans for Memorial weekend. They better make house calls. We had initially planned to be on the road in less then 24 hours.

Mine did this after the first time I put the slide out a couple of weeks ago and I had to have the wife hold the button and I gave it a little push from outside on the corner that was stalling and it went in no problem.

Might work for you too...

Look under the slide, you may be missing bolts like mine was.

I have the same problem. I have to give mine a little nudge when pulling it in. Dealer couldn't find the problem, said it was working perfect while in the shop.

Bummer Medic. It's a shame these SchwinTek slides are becoming such a widespread problem. It seems like a really neat setup. I wonder if its just cheap motors or the tracks themselves that are the culprit. Mine's only been opened closed 9-10 times since ownership so I truly hope it holds up.

This is a crying shame. So many brand new campers, and so many major problems right from the factory. I really hope you get your spider working. This is totally unacceptable.way too many problems. Mine is a 2011, it has been in for a water leak seven times since brand new. Just got it back in April, they might have finnally fixed it. So far no leaks as of yet.
