smoke/propane alarm

Anyone know why my smoke/propane alarm keeps beeping every 40 seconds? I've hooked a battery charger up to my battery to make sure it's fully charged. I've also checked my propane tanks. They are empty right now and I have both valves shut off.

Isn't the smoke alarm and LP sniffer two different things?
Smoke alarm has it's own battery.

You're right. This is the propane detector on the right as you enter the camper. Down close to the floor. Still beeping!! I've tried everything I can think of. The book says it's a power fault but the battery is full charge. Enough that I've been able to put the awnings out and the nose slide with no problems.

My LP alarm beeps like that when the battery is near dead. If your batteries are up, could be a loose or corroded connection?

I go along with the weak battery theory. Is the rv plugged in to shore power. Try plugging in and see if it makes a difference. Shore power should also charge up your battery.

To properly test an RV "house" battery (the one that powers stuff like inside lights, water pump, furnace motor, etcetera), the battery needs to be at rest. This means not charged within the last hour or so, and with nothing drawing power from it. Since you’ve now read your multimeter instructions, hook the probes up to the battery (best to observe polarity), set the meter from the appropriate voltage range, and check the reading. Now compare to this information:

Volts --- Remaining Capacity
12.63 --- 100%
12.54 --- 90%
12.45 --- 80%
12.36 --- 70%
12.27 --- 60%
12.18 --- 50%
12.09 --- 40%
12.00 --- 30%
11.91 --- 20%
11.82 --- 10%

This info came of an RV help site, not from me. I don't know if you can take it to Advance Auto and have them check it the same way as a regular battery.

If the charging system that is being used has the capabilities of an - Equalization Charge- it will take it up to--14.8

I'm getting this info from my--(Go Power) manual that came with the regulator I installed with the solar system.

Thanks all!!! Got it figured out. There was corrosion on a terminal on the distribution junction box. I cleaned it off and no more beeping. Thanks for the quick help!

Glad you figured it out . If not , it could be that hair spray way used nearby recently. That crap screws up the detector....and really should not be used when camping....but thaty is just my opinion....

Guys I have a dumb question. Is the breaker panel the same as the distribution junction box?
Thanks
