Stock Tires - Question

Hi,
I have a 2014 ST270BH. Just got it this past spring. We used it a lot over the summer with no major issues.
Before each trip I like to look it over and see if anything is wrong.

When checking tire pressure today (rainy day), I noticed if I rub my finger hard against the sidewall, some of the tire rubber kind of rubs off on my finger. Very odd I thought. So I tried it on the tire right next to it, same thing. I didn't try it on the other side yet because the slide-out is out and I can't get to the tire, but I will try later. I tried the same test on my truck tires and no rubber is 'rubbing' off.
I know the stock tires are cheaper then cheap on most of these units. Treads however look fine.
By 'rubbing off' I mean if I rub back and forth with my fingers a few times fast, I get a black somewhat flaky residue on my fingers.

So the question is, is this normal and am I ok to use those tires tomorrow for a 3 hour drive/tow.

Thanks,
Mike

I think this is a moot point. I tried the same thing on my truck tires with a little more rubbing and I also got rub-off. I think it's because it's raining out.
A little paranoia is good thing...

Check the date on the tires, and change them every three years

Tires are pretty much new. Just got the unit last spring, it's a 2014, new.

Could it be "tire wet" or whatever dealers put on tires to make them look better?

It's probably the Carbon Black that is used in tires to make them black and to make them more durable and increases strength. Originally, tire rubber was white.

In my Younger daze as a "Forced Labor" employee at my dads Tire store, (after all...that's why we had kids, right?) I can state without doubt that all new tires off the rack have rubber dust on them. I often came home covered in the stuff and my mom would complain about having to clean it out of the showers almost daily. It is by-product of the manufacturing process, and when it gets washed off after a while, people want to get that new tire look back by slapping armour-all on it. Which destroys the surface over time.
