Sunset trail awning

Bought a 2015 Sunset Trail Lite ST240BH. Noticed that when the awning is rolled up it is black speckled and when it is extended out the underneath and end is white instead of black. Does anyone else have this ? It looks strange to me.

We just bought a 2015 ST32RL w/ 2 awnings. Both are as you describe. I liked the old awning color better.
