Sunset Trail Slide Emergency Retract Info

Hello, I have a 2021 Sunset Trail 185RK. Am researching how to retract the slide if the power fails. I know HOW to do it, but without taking apart my trim am looking for the size socket I need to turn the motor manually... Anyone here know? (I Have the above slide cable system). Thanks in advance.

Do you not have the long tool in the storage compartment. Most people leave them in there. Looks like this.

Sunset Trail Emergency Slide Retract.

I have that tool but I thought it was just for the stabilizers? I have looked above my slide (and watched the video from Crossroads). It does not look that this tool will fit above the slide - and from the video, they reference a "flexible 1/4 inch hex fitting" to attach to the nut on the motor - and then use a socket wrench or drill to retract. Its just not clear to me what size fitting I need.

Sorry I don’t have the cable system. Maybe someone else will jump in and have the size information you need.

Yours would be the correct one. The one I had was for the motor on the side. Should not go on the computer until after my morning coffee.

Mine uses a 1/4" "male" hex drive tool. The motor for the cable drive has a 1/4" female socket, requiring the tool you are using to operate it to have a 1/4" male end.

I made my own tool, it works fine.

You seem to have one answer saying 5/16 and one saying 1/4, your best solution would be to look at yours. It should be 2 snap on plastic caps, and 2 screws(just remove the center section of your trim)
