The only way I know is to pull the bottom membrane down and see if you can find the wires going up the back wall to the lights. The way mine was wired the wires were just laying loose and not tied to anything solid

I did the same type of install - adding a rear hitch and tail light wiring for a light MC rack. I located the wiring on the drivers side adjacent to the lefts side frame rail. If you disconnect the left rear stop light and remove the housing, you'll see that the tail light wires drop down directly down through the bottom of the rear trailer panel. I tapped into the brake light and running light for the light on my MC rack. If you also need a right rear turn signal, you'll have to locate the wiring behind the right rear stop light and tap into the right turn signal. Remember to seal the hole with silicone sealant after you run your wiring.

Unhappy

I tapped into the junction box up under the pin box and ran 4 wires, through to the front storage (came out the hole for the interior light), then a small hole to get the wires down to the frame area. I then just used frame clips and ran them down the frame to the back. I currently use the running lights to power a back-up camera, all 4 do work and terminate in a 4 pin trailer connector, for future boat trailer use.

Just called crossroads, he said the wires drop down from the roof, so guess I'll have to drill hole in floor and drop the wires down.

That one is interesting. On my 2013 ST 32RL, they are coming up from the bottom of the frame. I guess each trailer is built differently.

Cannot see why they would bring the wires from the belly to the roof then back to the belly?? The rep you talked to probably does not have or ever wired a trailer. The only wire that should be near the roof would be the clearance lights. I would say the wires are laying in the black coroplast that hides the belly. If they are in the roof ...thank the rep , if not , give them a learning lesson.

No he said they run them from front to back across the roof then drop them down to the lights

That should be easy enough to check out by pulling one of the tail lights out of the end wall and seeing which direction the wires are coming from. Up or down.

Yea thought about that, gotta get some sealant first to reseal light, for the time being I'm just gonna drop the wires on the outside.

If it is a sunset trail like mine , there is sealant around the outside of the light that will have to be cut off before you can take the light off.. a pain to do. They seal everything on the trailer even the awning brackets.

Harley, I think that's a good thing. My older 5er leaked like a sieve from around the lights and destroyed the interior rear wall.

That is how I found out on my 2013 ST32RL that the wiring came from the underside of the trailer up to each tail light on the rear of the trailer. It was then easy to run a new set of wires from the tail light down inside the back wall and use the same hole that the wiring entered the trailer wall to for my MC rack tail light.

I didn't want to see the wires hanging from the tail light, although that is an easy option.
