So on our maiden trip I couldn't use the tank flush connection because the hose end at the dump site was the same (female to female) as that on the flush connection. Were we supposed to get an adaptor or do I have buy one?

All dump stations I have been to , had a male end on the hose. Seems kinda weird to me ,that they had a female connection.

Have not encountered that either. I do carry an adapter with a shutoff.
