Water Pump

I'm on the road heading across the US and Canada to Nova Scotia and my Water Pump is acting up.

The water pump runs continually and does not give a lot of pressure. When the tap is shut off the pump continues to run. I can use City Water without any issues but when not in use I use the pump in the trailer but need to shut it off after using it.

Has anyone had that kind of problem and how to fix it.

Check for leaks first.

If it's not leaking anywhere, I'd swap it out. I don't think anything in there is user-servicable. I could be wrong. My guess is that finding the parts on the road will be a pain. Those pumps are usually easy enough to swap out it wouldn't be worth it to me to fiddle with finding that correct parts while I'm trying to enjoy my trip.

Replaced the water pump and it works fine now. The old one must have been worn out. It had been working fine at the start of the trip and just gave up the ghost. I guess we can’t expect them to last forever.

Yep. They die.

Glad you were able to resolve.
