Water under rock shield

Found water puddled up in the black material under the silver rock/bug shield on the front of the trailer. Had to use a razor blade to slice it to remove water. I assume it is coming in through the front roof somewhere. The water was located underneath shield in picture

Can you check behind the seam between the diamond plate and top of front. Is it possible to remove the seam strip?? Might be the first place to look.
