What am I doing wrong?

This is the second gas strut that holds the door open that I need to replace within a year. Last time I had 2 on order and never received them, until I called the owner of one of places, the stealership that I bought it at, and asked how I needed to get this replaced. Now that I am sure my camper is out of the 30 days (just kidding) warranty I don't know how I can get a new one. Personally I would like one with metal ends. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

When I replaced the struts on my bed, I bought them from Future Sales RV https://www.shoprv.parts/online/.

I took mine off so I can open the door all the way. Now use the regular latches. did not like the door onlly open part way...blocked the view.

I would say go after market and do your research...That way you can control the quality of the product...CR is looking more at price than quality...

My screws keep pulling out of the door . So a good fix was to bolt and nuts through the door. Just thought I would share.
