Where do you carry your 50A power cord?

So.. maybe I was spoiled a bit as the previous owner of a Rockwood Signature Ultralight that had a really nice storage cabinet on the rear of my camper for things like the power cord, hoses, sewer fittings, extra sewer hose, and the like.

However, this new camper has me baffled. The only outside-accessible storage space is under the front beds and to be honest, so did our Rockwood.. and it was always almost 100% full.

Where do you all put this stuff?

My RV came with a 50A power cord. However, I only have one AC unit. So also wondering if I could get a smaller more flexible rv power cord with a 50A rv fitting? I know there are adapters.. has anyone done something different here?

Dang.. this cord is huge!!

I keep my 50A power cord (AKA- “The Anaconda”) and my Progressive EMS in a big plastic container 24x18 with a lid (got at Walmart) and store it in the front left storage of the 5er.

Could you please tell us what camper you have? It helps to know what you are asking about so someone with that camper may have a solution. Also if you add a Signature with that information that helps us help you.

My camper is "Old School" in that it still has an attached cord with its own storage door/compartment.

Not sure what you carry but the wife and i go thru everything each year and remove what we seldom or not at all use. Just a suggestion - can you move some things out of the trunk to another location to free up some room? Looks like you have storage under the bed and possibly under the bunks.

Also you will learn that "totes" are your friend. They allow you to stack and store while also organizing.

Personally i have several - One for fresh water one for black water one for miscellaneous things - think eterna bond tape, screws. ect. ect. Two with the cast iron pots/ dutch ovens for the fire. The wife has some in the pantry for the can goods. Just pull it out to reach the cans in the rear.

Just give some thought and try to relocate and organize what you have you will find the room.

Ahh.. I just did that.

Looks like I needed to do this on a computer. I typically use the Tapatalk app on my phone so hopefully this works for you now. I do not see signatures for anyone in this thread when using the app.

I did set up my profile with this information too.

Let me know if this works.

I use Tapatalk and this is the only forum I belong to that the signature is disabled on. I don’t see any signatures for anyone else either on this forum.

I just downloaded the site and page down a few times and on mine at the bottom of my iPhone I have a small box with an up arrow. Hit that and selected “save to my Home Screen” on my iPhone. https://www.crossroadsowners.com/forums/

I have an IPhone 11 but it was the same on my 8. It’s the share button at the bottom. Maybe this will help. https://www.groovypost.com/howto/add...e-home-screen/

So.. not to be a pest or anything.. but do any of you have any suggestions on where to put that cord? Do you have one of these honking huge cords and only a small storage spot up front?

We have 4 kids so that means lots of chairs, firewood, charcoal grill, towing hardware, etc all need to go up there too.

I was think maybe some type of rack or storage spot that could be added externally somewhere?

Sorry your thread got hi jacked.

Can't you find room in the back of the truck for some kind of tote or box for it to fit in?

Do you carry your firewood in the camper?

Ok. Maybe I'm just gonna need to come up with something or take less stuff.. I miss that feature on my old camper.

I'll figure it out. If anyone has other ideas I'm all ears.

Will it fit under the back seat of your truck?
