Cold Tire Tire Pressure Chart

Hi New Member
I have a 2005 Crossroad Paradise Point PF30RF The tire pressure chart on the exterior has faded and is unreadable.
I'm running Firestone FSTN Transforce HT2 12 OR E SL LT235 / 80R17 tirers and am not sure what the cold tire pressure should be.
Any help would be appreciated.

Regards
Tom

The correct tire pressure for your trailer tires should be listed on the side of the tire. You'll see a "Max. load" statement followed by a number, then PSI. That number is what you want the tires inflated to.
My LT235 / 80R17 E tires are inflated to 80psi.

Tire pressure should be determined by the weight they are carrying not necessarily the max psi. Check out this chart.

IF you Are at MAX load!!! Significantly lees weight those tires at MAX cold pressure are going to wear disproportionally in the center.

I've been running my 5th wheel tires at 80psi. for the past 20 years and never had an issue with uneven or center tire wear. And that was on 3 different 5th wheels. In fact, when I changed out the tires after 5 years, they showed minimum wear.

Everyone has their own opinion. I just reset my brakes and aired the tires to 75PSI. Tires (Goodyear Endurance) say 80PSI Max. I’ve always went five pounds under. Right or wrong that’s just me.

I basically agree with you but...What is the MAX COLD AP stamped on the tire? If it's 80 you're fine but what if it's 110 like mine? 110 MAX COLD on mine is for 3650 lbs MAX weight! That weight times 4 (dual axel) is 1460 lbs. My weight ( or I should say 5th wheel!) on rear axels is a little over 10,000. Therefore I run 90 lbs cold. Considering the wheels are PROBABLY rated at 80lbs cold I'm probably still over-inflated, since the sticker on trailer says 80lb max. The video in earlier thread explains this, although like all tube videos he rambles too much!!

What is good for my Rv may not be for others.
Best bet is for everyone to decide on their own.

I have always ran what the manufacture calls for in size, load range and inflation pressure. Worked well for many years. But that is what I do you do what you feel is right for your camper.

Yea like everything else. Everyone has their own opinion on what is best. For me, I’ve run five under max tire pressure and have been doing this for over 30 years. Am I always right? No lol. So like stated before, each person has to do what they think is best for their size and weight of camper.
